Learn More →Aventura's location on the Intracoastal Waterway between Dumfoundling Bay and Maule Lake gives boaters direct access to both Biscayne Bay and the ocean via Haulover Inlet. This connectivity also means constant exposure to wake damage from passing vessels, tidal current stress on dock lines, and saltwater intrusion into sensitive electronics. When an insurance company lowballs your claim, our marine claims adjusters know exactly what the repair should cost.
Turnberry Marina and the private docks along the Aventura waterways hold a mix of sport yachts, express cruisers, and fishing boats. These vessels sustain damage from both major weather events and daily wear caused by heavy Intracoastal traffic. After a storm, differentiating between storm-caused damage and traffic-caused wear is critical to a successful claim, and it takes marine expertise to draw that line clearly for the insurer.
Haulover Inlet, just south of Aventura, is one of the most dangerous inlets in Florida. Boats crossing the bar in rough conditions sustain hull stress, engine damage, and structural failures that trigger complex insurance claims. Carriers question whether the operator exercised reasonable care, and our team provides the technical documentation to support your claim through a storm damage filing or supplemental request.

Boating Challenges in Aventura
Aventura's Intracoastal position creates a dual threat for boat owners. Storm surge pushes water levels well above normal in the narrow waterway channel, flooding docks and submerging engines on boats stored at low-freeboard docks. Between storms, the relentless wake from mega-yachts and commercial vessels passing through the Intracoastal grinds boats against pilings and fenders, causing cumulative damage that weakens hulls before the next hurricane hits.
Haulover Inlet sits immediately south and generates some of the roughest bar conditions in Southeast Florida. Boats returning to Aventura marinas through Haulover in strong east winds and outgoing tide face breaking waves that can flood cockpits, damage transoms, and stress engine mounts. Claims from inlet crossings are heavily scrutinized by carriers.
Waterfront condo associations in Aventura often carry separate marina policies with terms that differ from individual boat insurance. Navigating the overlap between the marina's policy, the slip holder's vessel policy, and the HOA's liability coverage requires an adjuster who understands marine insurance structures, not just residential property claims.

What Clients Say
Insurance is so confusing... but Scott was AMAZING! He had patience, knowledge, and understanding to my situation and advised me on how to navigate and move forward with my boat claim. I can confidently make the decisions I have to make without being intimidated by my insurance company! You can trust what he says...he doesn't have ulterior motives... Just wants to help you! Too bad, I could only give him 5 stars... I would have given him 10 stars!
Scott and Valeria were extremely helpful and professional in providing their knowledge and guidance through this most difficult ordeal. And their help turned out to be free! After paying insurance premiums on my boats over the years, my first attempt at filing a claim was a disaster. In the first 4 weeks after Hurricane Ian, I had several conversations with insurance adjusters, but never the same person twice. Fortunately, by the time I was provided with what appeared to be a permanent adjuster, I had already spoken to Scott and Valeria. In my meeting with this adjuster, I asked for a copy of the insurance company's estimate, telling him that Scott would be reviewing it and the boat. A written estimate was provided within 2 days of the meeting. It was shared with Scott immediately. After Scott reviewed the boat and the estimate, he called to tell me that I was lucky. I had gotten a fair estimate and did not need to hire him. Responsible, knowledgeable, and honest. WOW!
Excellent service, Scott and Valeria work extremely hard to deliver services that are 2nd to none. They went above and beyond with service excellence. I had a 1981 O'Day sailboat that was submerged underwater, and they made sure that I got a just and fair settlement.
